T-Ball

Looks like a sharp player with the new glove, team hat and t-shirt. Learning to field the ball.
Coach teaching Tyler how to run the bases.
Coach helping Tyler bat off the tee.
Fielding the ball (yes, that's Mommy behind Tyler).
Today Tyler started T-Ball. He's on the "Reds" team. He was excited to get a new hat and shirt like everyone else.

Tyler has never played much baseball, so this was all new to him. He took to batting the ball really well. That may be his strong point in this sport.

He wasn't to bad at fielding the ball. He got down to get the grounders. And he enjoyed running after the ones that got away. He has a little trouble remembering which hand his gloves goes on.

A weakness he may have is running the bases. Perhaps once he learns where the bases are, then he will run faster to each one. Most of the boys looked lost while trying to find each base. Of course, with the other team and the adults on the field, it would be hard to find the bases.

Tyler enjoyed kicking the dirt a lot in the infield. He will have to work on not doing that. But I do think he had a good time and will want to continue learning more about this game.

I enjoyed watching Tyler and the others. It was a very entertaining time. I'll look forward to next week.

Tyler, sounds like a new experience for you - T-ball. Christopher played T-ball when he was your age too. Keep practicing and I'm sure you will have lots of fun!

Go Reds! Tyler is playing for Uncle Zach's favorite baseball team. I look forward to playing catch with Tyler real soon now that he's learning the fundamentals. I saw he still has the baseball in the wrapper that I bought him when he was born.
