Mason is 4 Months Old!

Mason is 4 months already, where has the time gone? I took him to his 4 month appointment and he weighs 16 pounds, 5 ounces and is 26 inches long. I can't believe he is so big! I started him on cereal, his first experience was on April 25th. He actually loved it! When I didn't give him the spoon fast enough, he would start to cry. I was surprised at how well he was able to eat the cereal and not push it all out.

Mason loves to play with his hands and feet. I didn't know how interesting our feet and hands are! He is also a talker. He has lots to say! When he is awake, there is hardly a moment when he is not talking, laughing or smiling! Mason thinks that his big brother is the funniest thing. He is already looking up to him. Mason's eyes are always following his big brother! I don't want him to grow anymore, but I also can't wait to see the bond develop between Tyler and Mason.

Happy Easter

What a great Easter we celebrated! This was Mason's first Easter and the first one that Tyler is really going to remember. The night before Easter, Tyler was scared at the thought of the Easter bunny coming into our house. But once he woke up and saw his basket full of goodies, he said, "The Easter bunny is really nice!" He loved playing with all his new toys and eating his candy!
He did take a break from all his goodies and enjoyed more celebrating at Uncle Mike and Aunt Sue's house. We had a delicious dinner and a wonderful time hunting/hiding Easter eggs. I believe Tyler could have hunted eggs all day long! We are looking forward to another memorable Easter next year.

Daddy let Mommy have a day of rest; so Daddy, Grandma, Tyler and Mason went to the Columbus Zoo. It was the first warm day of the season, so just being outside without a jacket was fun. Tyler liked being in charge and showing Daddy around the zoo. He looked at his map and led him to all the animals he thought Daddy would like to see. And of course, they were are all "good choices". He even showed Daddy how to ride a Merry Go Round.

Mason enjoyed his day outside also. He was very good. He was either napping or trying to figure out how to get his thumb in his mouth. He is growing to fast.

We all had a fun time together.

We celebrated Tyler's 5th birthday early over Easter weekend because all of our family was in town. We celebrated his birthday Ironman style since Tyler is into superheroes. Tyler was so excited to be having an Ironman party, he told everyone that he meet! It was so cute to see the excitement in his eyes. He received lots of great gifts and enjoyed the time with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents! It is so hard to believe that my little boy is turning 5; where does the time go?

Some Things Never Change...

Another year has past, but Tyler still LOVES to help daddy mow the grass! This was the first of many mowings of the season. Tyler was so excited to get his lawn mower out of the garage and help daddy! He as always close behind and didn't miss a spot. We still wish that his mower actually cut the grass. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Papa celebrated his birthday on April 17th. We went to his house to help him celebrate with pizza, cake, and presents. Tyler enjoyed helping Papa blow out his candles and then licking the icing off of them. Tyler also drew Papa a birthday picture; which he was so excited to give it to Papa. It was a picture of them together. We can't wait to help Papa celebrate MANY more birthdays!
