1st Denist Appointment

Outside the Dentist Office

MeMa holding Tyler for comfort

Tyler not wanting MeMa to say "Good Boy"

Giving MeMa a ride

The dentist checking things out inside Tyler's mouth

Today Tyler went to the dentist for the first time. The office was very nice, had a big aquarium and was Kid Friendly. Each room had a TV overhead with a movie playing. Tyler loves to watch movies, but he enjoyed watching Nemo and Dory in the aquarium better!
Mommy and MeMa were all prepared for Tyler to scream (like he does for other doctor appointments and getting hair cuts), but to our surprise Tyler was a real big boy. He was actually very good. Tyler sat on MeMa's lap while he allowed the Hygienist to brush his teeth, look in his mouth with her mirror and even use floss. MeMa was praising Tyler and he placed his hand over my mouth and wanted the Hygienist to do the praising! He is so funny.
When the dentist came into the room Tyler liked him. The dentist had MeMa lay down on the chair and hold Tyler. He checked his teeth and said NO cavities and he was a good brusher. Tyler gave the dentist a High Five and said "Thank You" afterwards.
When we got back into the car, MeMa told Tyler what a big boy he had been. And Tyler said, "no boy". We ask what he was and Tyler said, "I Tyler". He always makes me laugh!!

Beaches Parade

Helping Papa move the HumVee into position

Still trying to get it in right spot!

Papa in his HumVee before the parade

Sunday the beaches in Jacksonville officially opened for the season. It was a hot sunny day for a parade, and great weather to be on the beach. Papa's Shrine Club was in the parade. Tyler enjoys Papa's Shrine HumVee as long as he doesn't have to ride in it. Tyler is still scared of the little mini car! He is also still scared of Papa when puts on his fez (hat). But Tyler does like working on the HumVee with Papa and really likes pushing it around (up and down the trailer and driveway).
As far as the parade goes, Tyler doesn't like the clowns at all! But he does enjoy collect the candy that is thrown to him.

Daddy's Last Day in Jacksonville

Daddy is moving to Ohio this weekend to start a job. We are really excited that he is working, but sad that he will be so far away from us! Tyler thought that Daddy would enjoy spending his last day at the zoo. It was extremely hot today, almost 90 degrees, so a lot of the animals were laying around. Luckily, the giraffes were awake! As soon as we walked into the zoo, Tyler insisted that we see the giraffes. People were feeding them lettuce leaves, and Tyler was amazed by how long their tongues were! As we were leaving the zoo, Daddy and Tyler were talking about the animals that we saw. Tyler said that he liked the giraffes, lions, monkeys, and elephants.
We will miss you Daddy!

Air Show

Daddy, Papa & Tyler

Mommy & Tyler on the slide

Tyler starting to get brave enough to stand next to the military plane with Daddy

This weekend, Papa & MeMa Kerr, daddy and I took Tyler to the air show. Tyler loves airplanes, so we thought we would really enjoy seeing all the planes up close and watch them do tricks in the air. Boy were we wrong! He was scared to death of the planes on the ground, he didn't want to get to close to them. He did enjoy watching them in the air, but thought the jet was a little too loud for his liking! He then saw that they had a moon bounce and slide. He batted his little eyes and Papa bought him a few tickets to jump in the moon bounce and ride the slide. Not to our amazement, he was too scared to jump by himself with all the other little kids. He did however talked me into going down the slide with him. We had fun, but Tyler didn't want to go again. Towards the end of the show, Tyler got brave and wanted to see the airplanes up close, guess it just takes him awhile to get warmed up to new things. But the highlight of the day was the bookbag of airplanes that Papa bought him and the funnel cake, which he was covered in powered sugar!

More Easter Gifts!

Tyler took this picture of Uncle Zach

Tyler & Uncle Zach playing with his new remote control McQueen

Tyler Opening a Pres from Uncle Zach

What more could a little boy ask for on Easter then a visit from Uncle Zach bearing gifts! He was so excited when Uncle Zach showed him his 'pres' that he brought! He wanted to "open" right away. The first gift was a UNC hat. Tyler liked the "dress" but quickly wanted to open his other gift. The next gift was his favorite one, a remote control McQueen! Tyler loves cars, and he especially likes remote control ones; even though he is not very good with maneuvering them. Uncle Zach tried to teach Tyler how to properly use it, but he is so stubborn! (He gets that from his daddy!)
After playing with his new toy, Tyler wanted to take a picture of Uncle Zach. He actually did pretty well for his first time, but we did get a few of the clouds!

Happy Easter

Getting ready to fly the kite the Easter Bunny brought

Finding the Easter Eggs

The treats the Easter Bunny left

Tyler had a great Easter this year! The Easter Bunny brought him lots of candy and toys. When he woke up Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny had laid out his basket of treats and hid eggs in our house. At first, Tyler was concerned that a bunny had been in our house, until he realized all the cool stuff that it left him! Tyler loved playing with all his toys, but I believe that his favorite part was hunting eggs. He would call out "Eggs" as he was hunting for them. I believe he thought they would just jump out if he called them like a dog! The Easter Bunny also came to MeMa and PaPa Kerr's house, and left him a kite. Uncle Zach tried to teach Tyler how to fly the kite properly, but Tyler is so stubborn, it took a lot of patience! Successfully they were able to fly it!
Tyler can't wait for more Easter fun next year.

Disney on Ice

Tyler enjoying his new toy

This weekend MeMa Kerr and I took Tyler to see Disney on Ice. We thought he would enjoy seeing the cars from the movie Cars and the other Disney characters. When we got there, we walked around and let Tyler pick out his special treats. To no surprise, he wanted McQueen. He then noticed that everyone had these cool light spinners. He has one at home, but thought he could always use another toy that he will ultimately use to tormint Tucker with!

Once the show began, Tyler was very scared. He jumped on MeMa's lap and held onto her for protection. (Grandma's make everything all better!) He hid his face a lot, but peeked out to see who was coming out next. Tyler enjoyed laughing at Goopy, aka Goofy. Goopy is Tyler's favorite disney character at this time. When the characters from the movie Cars came onto the ice, Tyler sat up slightly. He tried not to smile when Lighting McQueen came out! I guess he didn't want us to think that he was having too much fun!

Tyler loves to have new adventures and can't wait to see what is in store for him next.

SleepOver

Watching "Super Why"

Playing the piano

Last night I had dinner at Tyler's house. When it was time for me to go home, Tyler said, "Tyler go bye-bye". I explained to him that it was about time for him to go night night and he replied "OK". He got his pajamas and off we went to my house for the night. After he had a snack and watched his TV shows he was ready for bed. He is so easy to put down, and such a wonderful sleeper (he gets that from his mommy).
Tyler has spent many night at my house, but this is the first time it was HIS idea, so it was very special to me. I tried to make it a special night for him. We had fun!
This morning after we got up, he was glued to the TV to watch Super Why. If you haven't seen the show, it teaches the ABC's. Tyler loves learning his alphabet. He has mastered a few letters.
Later he tried his ear for music. He enjoys banging on his little piano.
I know Papa was disappointed he wasn't home when Tyler spent the night. We both love having Tyler at our house.

"Fruck Broken"

Making Tyler Angels

Helping Daddy make a castle

Teaching MeMa how to make a road for his cars

This afternoon after Tyler woke up from his nap, Daddy wanted to do something fun with Tyler. Daddy decided to take the doors and tops off the fruck -aka- jeep. We rode in style to the beach. Daddy thought Tyler would enjoy this. Wrong. It worried Tyler a lot. Tyler would point where the doors belonged and say, "Brent (yes, he calls Daddy Brent!) fruck broke. No doors. Fix fruck." He said this over and over again! He did like looking up and seeing the clouds and looking for airplanes. But didn't like the fruck being broke by not having doors.
Once we made it to the beach he was excited like normal. We all played in the sand. Tyler and MeMa made roads for his car to travel on. Then Daddy and Tyler made a big castle. That was nice until Mommy and Tyler stomped it in. We all had fun in the sand today.
As soon as we got back into the jeep to head home, Tyler was still concerned that the fruck was broke because it had no doors.
