Chillin' at home

Papa "thrilled" to be watching Curious George with Tyler!

Tyler trying to find a new episode to watch on TV.

Tyler and MeMa playing "Night Night".

Like all guys, after a full day of play, Tyler is ready to relax in front of the TV in the evening. One of Tyler's favorite TV shows is "Curious" -aka- Curious George. Tyler likes to get all cozy with a blanket and a bowl of "p-corn" -aka- pop corn. Papa got to be the lucky one to sit and enjoy the show with Tyler. Tucker was feeling a little left out, so he jumped in Papa's lap for a little attention also.
After the show was over, Tyler wanted MeMa to play "night night" with him. He plays this game every night with his daddy, so he had to show MeMa what to do. He is quite the teacher I might add. He gets a little rough at times, but the hugs and kisses in between sure was special.

Beach in February

Sporting the sunglasses on a sunny day!

Loves to dig in the sand

Got tired of wearing the sunglasses, so he tried something new!

Got wet and wanted to wear something on his legs, so MeMa made do!

What a pretty day we had today in Jacksonville, Florida. The sun was shining so bright, it was in the high 60's, and Tyler wanted to go to the beach. Mommy, MeMa and Tyler got into the car and headed for some fun in the sun.

It was really windy, so Tyler left his hat in the car and chose to wear his sunglasses instead. He kept them on for a long time, then he took them off and wore them on the back of his head. He tried them on the top of his head, but they must have fit better in the back. Looks strange.

Tyler loved wading in the water. He got his shoes wet before we could stop him, so we just let him have fun! He did enjoy running down the beach and jumping in every little puddle he came to. To be young and full of all his energy again!

When we got back to the car we took off his wet and sandy shoes, socks, and long pants. Not being prepared for him getting so wet, we had nothing to change him into, so MeMa made do with all we had. We had a t-shirt, so I put that on his legs. Tyler thought it was funny to wear his t-shirt on his legs, and he could have been happier could have pulled the t-shirt up to his waist!

Fun with Uncle Zach

Tyler excited over his new fruck

Tyler riding his neigh - aka- Uncle Zach

Uncle Zach and Tyler playing with the fruck

When Uncle Zach comes to town, Tyler always has fun. Uncle Zach loves to get down on the floor and play. Sometimes he has to get on his knees and come a neigh-aka- horse. Tyler likes it when the neigh tries to buck him off. If he falls off, he is always concerned whether the neigh is okay or not.

Tyler is into presents now, and Uncle Zach just happened to bring him one. Tyler was very excited when he opened his present and saw it was a Bigfoot fruck! Tyler even let Uncle Zach play with it.

Bowling

Daddy and Tyler watching the ball roll slowly

Excitement once the ball is returned to him

Papa helping Tyler push the ball down the lane

Daddy helping Tyler use the ramp to bowl

Friday evening we all (Mommy, Daddy, Tyler, Zach, Papa & MeMa) went to a bowling alley. We took MatchBox Cars for Tyler to play with while we all bowled. Tyler had his own plans. At first he was just excited to watch and wait for the balls to return, but then he wanted to bowl. Mommy figured he would throw a few balls and that would make him happy. Wrong. Tyler bowled 3 games! He loved it.
This alley had all color coded balls according to their weight. Tyler wanted a yellow ball (which was 9 lbs). A little heavy for him, but he wanted a "yellow" ball. We took turns helping him carry, hold and throw his yellow ball. Then, an employee came by and said they had a ramp we could use to roll the ball down. That was great and saved our backs, plus they didn't have to keep coming down to retrieve the slow moving ball that stopped halfway down the lane!
Tyler enjoyed carrying his ball, and rolling his ball, he enjoyed watching the pins fall, but I believe what he enjoyed the most was waiting and watching for his yellow ball to be returned!

Bird Feeder

MeMa is thankful Tyler loves her birds. He makes sure MeMa keeps food in the feeder, which is hung above his head on the patio. Tyler loves to announce when the birds are eating..... of course, he pounds on the the window and they fly off.
After we fill the feeder, Tyler will call the birds to eat. He'll say, "Here birds. Food. Birds eat". He sounds like he is calling Tucker!
But what MeMa enjoys the most about Tyler helping with the birds, is he doesn't like to see the seeds on the patio. He gets out his broom and sweeps while he repeats "Mess!" over and and over again. I like that he is neat and likes things tidy like I do!

Hair Cut Again

Over the weekend, Mommy wanted MeMa to cut Tyler's hair. Mommy got out the bag which the clippers are kept in and as soon as Tyler saw the polka dotted bag he ran out of the room. I figured he would come back when we didn't go after him. I was wrong, so I went to look for him. When I found him, he was in the front room, laying down on the floor, with a blanket covering him up. Trying to keep a straight face, I asked what he was doing and he replied, "Tyler sick"! That little guy may not like getting his hair cut, but he is a smart little guy! We all laughed and laughed, but in the end, he still got his hair cut........ yes, he was screaming! He looks so cute after a hair cut, I don't understand why he hates it so.

Rainy Day

Playing with a monster -aka- dinosaur.

Tyler and MeMa working with stamps.

Tyler play with his new puzzle all the way home.

Today was a rainy day and Tyler told his mommy he wanted to go bye-bye, so I took them to the Children's Museum. Tyler has fun there. He enjoys playing with the trains, the ball pit, markers, stamps and today he enjoyed the plastic animal collection. He calls all animals that he doesn't know the name of "monsters". He is afraid of "monsters" so not sure why he enjoyed playing with them today.
He was so good today that I rewarded him with a puzzle. It has sound to help him learn his shapes and colors.

Broken Valentine Card

Today is Valentine's Day and since we had given Tyler his gift yesterday, today we just gave him a card. Papa handed him the card, and Tyler was so excited when he started opening it. He noticed the card had Thomas the Tank Engine on it, which is one of his favorite things. All was well until he started really looking at the picture of Thomas. Tyler started yelling "Oh no! Oh No!" I ask what was wrong and Tyler said "It's broken. Tracks are broken. Papa card broken." What is hilarious about the "broken track" was just the track under Thomas. Guess Tyler thought the track should have gone across the whole card. But Tyler was upset that Papa gave him a card which was broken. Papa needs to do better in Tyler's eyes.

Valentine's Day (early)

This picture is so you can see that Tyler does have eyes under his hats.

Putting the race car inside the semi.

Tyler saying "There you go" as puts the car inside and closes the door.

We had dinner together tonight and gave Tyler his Valentine's Day gifts. He kept saying, "Thank you MeMa"! Candy, cars, and trucks are always a way to his heart! And since MeMa and Papa are going to the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Tony Stewart was the theme (and also MeMa's driver). The race car and semi kept Tyler busy all evening! Happy Valentine's Day!

Tree is Falling

Every time Tyler comes to MeMa's house he has one thing on his mind. He is very worried about a tree in our backyard that is leaning over. This is the results from Tropical Storm Faye that came through in September. We have to go out and look at the tree and Tyler will kick it a few times and say, "Papa get car. Papa pull tree." He has a very good memory for Papa did try and pull the tree back up with the Suburban in September, but it didn't move at all. Perhaps the tree will just fall over soon so Tyler can stop thinking about it.

More Chores!

Tyler & Daddy Vacuuming

Tyler showing Daddy how to use the attachments

Tyler sure is a big helper! He loves to help Mommy and Daddy with the chores around the house, which is great since we are always cleaning just in case we show our house. Every time we vacuum, Tyler is right next to us with his vacuum cleaner. His vacuum cleaner really picks up dirt, just not much. I wish it would pick up more, so we wouldn't have to vacuum as much!

First, we got him to clean windows, and now we have him vacuuming the house! I wonder what will be next?! And for the right price, I will rent him out; he never complains about the work!

Jacksonville Zoo

Tyler on the train with ALL his goodies!

Tyler showing mommy the rhinos

Tyler brushing the "Mess" off the goat

MeMa and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather we had this weekend, so we took Tyler to the Jacksonville Zoo. He had so much fun there! There is so much to see and do, and Tyler wanted to do everything he could. The first thing we did,at Tyler's request was to see the elephants. We then saw monkeys, giraffes, birds, and many other animals. As we were watching a gorilla, who was far away from us, then he decided he wanted a closer look at Tyler. Tyler was scared, he kept screaming "Monster!" I didn't want to torment him too much, so we left the gorilla fast!
Tyler enjoyed going to the petting zoo and brushing the goats. Tyler couldn't believe how messy the goats were, he had to keep brushing the "mess" off of them. I guess the zoo should hire Tyler to keep the goats clean!
To wrap up all the fun, we took Tyler on the train ride that goes around the zoo. Tyler had worked up an appetite cleaning the goats, so we bought him juice and popcorn. As we rode the train Tyler enjoyed his yummy snacks!

Play-Doh

Tyler Making Fun Designs

Tyler Showing MeMa How to Put Play-Doh in the Fun Factory

Tyler & MeMa Rolling Balls

Aunt Lisa gave Tyler a Play-Doh set for Christmas. Tyler loves to play with Play-Doh! MeMa Kerr came over last night, and Tyler wanted to show MeMa his cool Play-Doh Fun Factory. They enjoyed making rocks, worms, snakes, cut-out shapes, and fun designs that would come out of the Fun Factory. Tyler enjoyed shoving the Play-Doh into the Fun Factory, while MeMa enjoyed showing Tyler to roll rocks. Tyler was concentrating so hard to make the rocks, that he even fell right off his chair. He was a little gun-shy after that, but that didn't stop the fun!

Museum Time

Drawing "train tracks" with markers.

Using rubber stamps

Jumping in and out of the ball pit

Playing with Thomas the Tank Engine

Today Tyler, Daddy and MeMa went to the Children's Museum. As soon as we drove into the parking lot, Tyler knew where he was... he said, "Daddy, Choo Choo Trains". He was so excited. Once we walked inside he ran straight to the train sets where played for quite awhile. Daddy and MeMa played checkers to past the time.
Tyler also enjoyed the other play areas. He loved jumping in the ball pit. Drawing with markers and using the stamp pads. Climbing in and out of the police car is always a fun challenge! He will take a good nap this afternoon I am sure.
I took alot of pictures today, but unfortunately most of them did not turn out. Tyler he wears his hat so low on his head, you can not see his cute little face at all! He does love his hats!

Wal-Mart Shopping

Protecting his valuable items!

Trying to figure out who took the rest of his items from the cart!
Today Tyler, Mommy and MeMa went shopping at Wal-Mart. Normally when we enter that store Tyler ask for "N & N's" -aka- M & M's. But today he wanted to go straight to the "toys". He is quite the shopper. Tyler loves to fill the cart with whatever he finds interesting. We let him look over his collection while we shop the store, then we start emptying his shopping cart of his treasures without him seeing us. Today, like all other days, we got it almost emptied out when he noticed most items were gone. He said "Oh No!!" I am sure one day he will figure out who takes out all his treasures. But since he is only 2 1/2, he is clueless that we are doing it. LOL
Once he noticed everything was gone from his cart, he grabbed hold of the last 2 items in the cart and would not let go. The clerks are really good about scanning the items in his arms! You gotta love a silly little boy!
