Painting Christmas cookies

Tyler has taken to one of the "Kerr Family Traditions" quite well. I have always baked cut-out sugar cookies at Christmas time. And Angie and Zach have always helped me ice and decorate them. This year I ask Tyler if he would like to ice cookies. He said "okay" and he lined up his cars on the table next to him and he started icing. Of course Tyler said " No ice. Painting". So he "painted" his cookies with the icing. I was afraid he would want to lick the icing off his fingers, but he didn't he just used his t-shirt to get them clean. After he finished painting the cookies, he sat back and started eating them. He did a very neat job! I was quite impressed with his neatness, the amount of colors he used, how he covered the whole cookie and with alot of patience. I think he may have a lot of creative ability.

Checking it all out!
Video of Tyler with new fire fruckTyler woke up to a very pleasant surprise this morning, an early Christmas gift on our front porch! Being the parents that always gave our gifts early to each other, we let Tyler open this one early too. Boy were we glad, as Tyler was occupied with his new Fire Fruck all day! Tyler's Great Uncle Mike, Great Aunt Sue, and his cousins Sarah and Jessie sent him his new toy. Within the first 15 minutes, Tyler, with a little of daddy's help, figured out how to work the sirens, lights, ladder, and open the door for the fireman to drive the truck. He was a tired little boy by the end of night, because the fire fruck kept him busy! As Uncle Mike says, "Happy Frucking!"
There is never a doubt as to who Tyler's best friend is; Tucker. He absolutely loves that dog! He can be very bossy, but Tucker does as he is told! Where you find one, you will definitely find the other. Over the weekend, Tucker was relaxing on the floor and looking out the window. Tyler must have thought he looked lonely, because he went and laid down with him while he watched his morning cartoons. We couldn't have asked for a better a dog for Tyler!Showing me a Noman -aka- Snowman on my tree

Tyler always enjoys a sleepover with us. We have a lot of fun together; and yes, he is the boss. Papa drove us around Saturday night to look at Christmas lights. Tyler particularly liked the houses that had lit up signs in their yard. Signs that said things like "Merry Christmas" or "Noel" because he loves to recognize his alphabet. Of course, he only likes to say letters B U and K and if you notice there isn't any of those letters in these words. Tyler really doesn't care!

A video tape is worth a thousand words. Zach taped this clip over the weekend and he thought it was so funny, which you can tell from his laughter! Angie does make a good horse, or a "neigh" as Tyler calls them.

Today Tyler had a play date with his friend, J.T., who he knows from his Gymboree class. We met J.T. and his mom, Cheri, at the Regency Square Mall in the play area. It represents the downtown Jacksonville area. They enjoyed driving the boat around the St. John's River, climbing inside the lighthouse, climbing on dolphins, running and sliding on the roads. But mostly I believe they enjoyed squeaking very loudly to hear their voices echo in the tall building! They do have fun together.Daddy Zach remembering the fun he used to have with Matchbox Cars!
