Tired Boy

We have shared pictures of Tyler having fun at the beach. But have you ever wondered what he looked like after the beach? You guessed it, he is tired from fun in the sand and water and he normally falls asleep soon after the car gets going.

Sometimes he is more hungry than sleepy and he will want to go to "Do Toes" -aka- McDonald's before he falls asleep. Looks like an angel sleeping doesn't he?!

Learning Fun

Tyler thinks learning is fun at MeMa's house. He followed my directions very well today when I introduced him to this learning toy. He takes off the shapes and puts them back on the correct color peg. He loves to count them as he goes. He says, "one, two, one, two". But it is a start. I am trying to get him to say the color and shape when he places each one, but so far all he wants to do is count them. Tyler does enjoy learning new things.

Fruck on the Beach

Today was another fun time at the beach. Daddy took us to Cresent Beach, which is in St. Augustine, and you can drive your vehicle on the beach. He took the top off the fruck , so we had fun on the ride there also.

Tyler enjoyed digging in the wet sand and filling his bucket then emptying it out. He also had fun running around with Daddy in the water. MeMa showed Tyler the sea shells in the sand, so we spent a lot of time picking up shells. This is the first time Tyler has noticed the shells. I tried to get him to use his bucket to carry them in, but he insisted on carrying them in his very small dump fruck. He definitely has a mind of his own. What a fun day we had in the sun.

Hair Cut Trauma

Getting a hair cut is not on Tyler's list of Favorite Things To Do. From the time he sees the clipper bag come out of the closet he is screaming, "No!No! MeMa"! Mommy gets to use her big power muscles to hold him down, while Daddy tries talking to him to calm him down. As for MeMa, I just cut where ever I can at that moment. Tyler is kicking, screaming, and yelling "get back", "stop".... you would think we were hurting the little guy. After he is put down and the clippers are turned off, he is ready for a bath and life goes on. He is good to go for another 3 weeks.

Keeping Busy

When it's hot outside and Papa is working on his Shrine car, Tyler can find all types of things to do. He had fun washing all 3 of his riding toys. He loves using the hose and getting himself all wet as well as watering down everything around. That's until he noticed the trailer had a fun ramp he could run up and down. Talk about keeping him occupied for a while!

Papa really enjoyed the help Tyler was giving him when he crawled under the little Shrine car. Tyler had a flashlight and was trying to help Papa find whatever he had been looking for the last few hours.

Papa's Shoes

Tyler thought he was so funny today when he put on Papa's shoes. He immediately walked into Papa's office to show him he could walk in the shoes as well as Papa could. Sadly, he will one day be big enough to fill those shoes. I would love to have something to sprinkle on Tyler and keep him this age!

Gymboree Art Class

Today Tyler had a new adventure. We attended a Gymboree Art Class. At first Tyler wanted nothing to do with it, he was ready to leave. Then his teacher, Miss Ellen, brought out the paint, and he was eager to stay! In the second picture Tyler is explaining his picture to Miss Ellen. He went on and on about the picture he created. She was all excited and thought he did a great painting and explanation of his art piece. As for me, I had no idea what he told her! Tyler had a fun time with paints, crayons, and glue sticks. He also liked wearing his paint smock! I believe he may have some of MeMa's love for crafts in him.

DoToes -aka- McDonald's

Today (like most days) I ask Tyler what he would like for lunch. His typical answer is always "Chicken. Fries. Coke". If you ask where he would like to get the chicken, fries and coke, he will tell you "DoToes". So today MeMa took Tyler to DoToes for lunch. He was so excited when he saw the Golden Arches! His wings (arms) started flapping and he started rattling off what he wanted to eat. We are not sure why he always ask for a coke, for he has never had a coke. Guess he hears MeMa ordering one for herself.

We sat next to a window where Tyler identified each vechicle that drove by. He was most excited when it was a fruck. With each fruck that past us, he would show me the frucks on his t-shirt. It doesn't take much to excite that cute little guy.

Riding in the "Fruck"

We all know Tyler's love for "frucks", so it is no surprise that when it is time to go bye-bye he insists on riding in daddy's fruck. This weekend, Tyler took daddy by the hand and said, "Bye-Bye in fruck." So, we took the top off and went bye-bye in the fruck. Tyler loved the wind blowing in his face. He looked just like daddy sitting in the truck; they both had their hats on and big grins on their faces. (Except when I took the picture, Tyler insisted on having his poppy, aka pacifier.) I am sure Tyler will spend a lot of time in the fruck with the top off this summer!

Cooling Off

With the days being so hot, the only way a boy can cool off is by playing in the water. And Tyler loves to do just that! Tyler may not like to play in the sprinkler where his feet get dirty with grass, but he loves to play with hose on the driveway. We spent the other day outside watering trees, washing his bike, and washing his tractor full of cars. He likes to make sure that all of his toys are spotless, including his matchbox cars. Next time we will see what mommy and daddy needs washed!

Back Yard Fun (?)

MeMa thought she had a great idea today to have Tyler play in his wading pool and new sprinklers. But Tyler has a little more of Uncle Zach in him than his mommy. Mommy doesn't like the sand on her, but doesn't mind grass. Uncle Zach didn't like to get dirty at all! And Tyler seems to be taking after him!
Needless to say, Tyler didn't like the sprinkler at all, because he got grass on his feet and he consistently was picking off the grass and screaming "OFF!". I think we will wait awhile before I get it out again.
