Visit from Great Aunt Kathy

Great Aunt Kathy , who lives in Norfolk, Va, spent a fun week with Grandma and Papa. Tyler loved her to death. Whenever she would leave the room, he would run after her. She was good at reading stories to him but wasn't as good at letting him bang on her laptop like his Papa does. She babysat Tyler while Grandma had a couple doctor appointments. He enjoyed playing out in the sun with her. But the one thing he would not let her do was help him down the stair steps ..... she helped him fall down once, and he lost confidence in her after that.

Tyler loves having company and being on the go. We went shopping, out to eat, to the Zoo, to an Alligator Farm, and Tyler was such a good boy! He touched a snake at the Alligator Farm since he couldn't touch the Alligators! But he did like watching them open and close their mouths.

At the zoo he seemed to be just as interested in the animals as he was in the flowers this time. He particularly like the tigers and jaguars and he has a pretty mean growl!

We look forward to the Spring when she will come back down for another visit.

Thanksgiving 2007

We hosted our first Thanksgiving this year. I was worried that everything wouldn't turn out, but it was all yummy...I know because Tyler ate a lot! Brent's parents and Zach came for the festivities. Tyler loves it when we have company because he becomes the center of attention!

It was the first visit by Grandma and Grandpa Hemmert since we moved to Florida, so we were excited to tour them around. We went to the beach, although it was too chilly to get in the water. Tyler still enjoyed looking at the sand and seagulls. Later that weekend we went to St. Augustine and toured the fort.

Grandpa Hemmert had chores to do around the house. He had to install child proof locks on the cabinets so that Tyler can't break mommy's things! As you can see, Grandpa had a little helper. Tyler was right there by his side watching. Who knows when Tyler will need to install the locks too?! Just to show there were no hurt feelings, Tyler even let Grandpa share his sucker with him!

We had a great Thanksgiving and looking forward to the next visitors!
(sorry the pictures are not in order, I can't figure out how to move them.)

A Sleepover

Over the weekend, Mommy and Daddy attended a company Christmas party, so Tyler had a sleepover at Grandma and Papa Kerr's. Tyler got to do a few things he enjoys. He loves to help Papa type on the computer. And just to prove Papa doesn't care, check out the "step stool" Papa has for Tyler!
He also shares the love with Papa for the Harley -aka- Vroom Vroom. Tyler could sit on it all day if we let him. We couldn't decide who Tyler kissed the most ...the Harley or Papa!
To top off the evening we took a ride to look at all the festive Christmas lights. Tyler would point and say "pretty" or "wow". We all enjoyed the evening.
