Open Wide

Open wide!Hold still.

Mason is now 5 months old and Tyler still enjoys helping with him. He even likes feeding him. Tyler tells Mason he needs to eat all his vegetables so he will grow big like big brother. Tyler did get a little upset when Mason started blowing raspberries with his mouth full of squash! He would say, "No no Mason, not a good choice"! I am also not sure "who" had their mouth opened the widest when the spoon approached Mason's mouth! It was fun watching Tyler feed him.

Food Yummy...Peas Yucky!

Mason doesn't like peas!
Tyler feeding Mason

Mason is growing up so fast! I started feeding him baby food today. For lunch he tried sweet potatoes, which he loved! Then for dinner, Tyler fed him peas. Mason is not a fan of peas! The first few bites he was okay, then the taste must have set in and he starting crying with every bite. Tyler told me "Mason doesn't like peas, he wants to drink his milk instead." If I would hold the spoon of peas up, Mason turned his face into his chair and started to cry. We'll keep trying them, maybe one day he will like peas!

SleepOver

Showing his BeyBlade. Mason enjoying his favorite play thing.

Mason can't get enough of his toes!

Going on a walk.

Mommy and Daddy went out for the evening on Friday, so Tyler and Mason got a sleepover at Grandma's. Tyler was so excited for his sleepover, he was full of hugs and kisses the whole evening. You would think he wouldn't be so excited since he comes to Grandma's house everyday.

We took a long walk in the neighborhood. Mason enjoyed looking at the sky and trees. Tyler likes riding his Harley and looking for treasures along the way. He uses his saddlebags to hold his collections. They are full of dead leaves, droppings off trees, dandelions, rocks, sticks, anything that looks interesting to him.

When we got home Mason played on his mat and played with his favorite thing. . . . . his toes. He just giggles and squeals when he plays with them. Loves to put them in his mouth.

Tyler taught Grandma how to play with his BeyBlade. He was very patient with me. He would have me place my hand over his so I "could figure out what to do". He was so serious while teaching me. Then it was time for a movie "Antz" and pop corn. I love having the boys to myself for the night. We always have a fun time together.

T-Ball

Tyler getting ready to catch a ground ball Papa & Mason at t-ball

Tyler batting

Tyler is playing t-ball again this summer. We had our first practice/game last night. Tyler is on the Reds. He was excited to get a new Reds hat to wear! He has improved tremendously with batting,be we are still working with fielding. Hopefully he will get the practice he needs and not be afraid of the ball! (He is a little like his mommy!)

The first half hour both teams take turns practicing batting and fielding. The last half hour the teams play each other in a game. Once the kids hit the ball, they don't know what to do. The coach is pulling them along as they run to first base. It is so cute to watch! I wonder how long it will be until they know what to do?!

Nightly Routine

Mason laying in Tyler's bed listening to Mommy read a bedtime story

Mason was so happy to be in Tyler's bed!

Most nights, Tyler asks for Mason to lay in bed with him while I read a bedtime story. Tyler and Mason enjoy this time together, as they both love to cuddle. Mason can't stop laughing during the story, which often makes Tyler very angry! Tyler knows that you need to listen quietly during a story, but for some reason Mason can't control his giggling when I'm reading! After the story, Tyler wants Mason to stay and sleep with him so he covers them up with the blanket. It is so sweet to see them laying together ready to sleep! Maybe when Mason gets older they will be able to sleep together, but then it probably won't be any fun!
