More Christmas Fun

Uncle Zach and Mason Aunt Patricia with Tyler after they put the penguin stickers on the window
Two of Tyler favorite Christmas toys; Ironman helmet and swords
Tyler & Great Uncle Mike with Tyler's instruments; drums, microphone & guitar
Here are some more Christmas pictures. Tyler loved all his toys, but his two all-time favorite toys are his new Ironman helmet and swords. Tyler loves to pretend he is Ironman when he puts on his helmet. He told me he now needs the rest of the costume. He also likes to pretend to fight with his new swords.
Another theme for Christmas this year was musical instruments. Uncle Zach and Aunt Patricia blessed us with a drum set; thank you! Great-Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary gave Tyler a guitar and Grandma and Papa completed the band with the microphone! Everyone enjoyed listening to Tyler's band play Christmas music and Tyler's favorite 'Ironman' song!

Our best Christmas present, Mason Joseph!

The happy family of four!
This Christmas was very special in many ways. It was the first Christmas in our new house, Tyler is starting to understand the meaning of Christmas, and our first Christmas with our new son, Mason. We welcomed Mason on December 21st, and we came home just in time to celebrate Christmas together.
Tyler was excited to leave Santa and his reindeer special treats for when they came to drop off his presents. Tyler was very eager to go to bed so he could wake up to see what was left for him. When he woke up, the look in his eyes was priceless! He stood at the top of the stairs with Uncle Zach and was in awe with all that Santa had left. As he was standing on the stairs, he noticed that Santa had eaten most of the cookies and drank the milk we left, he was very observant!
Once he made his way down the stairs, it was time for us to open up the gifts. Tyler was very thankful for everything he opened. After he opended up a gift, he would show it to me and say, "This is exactly what I wanted!" He was so sweet and appreciative, it was great. Even though Mason was only 4 days old, Tyler made sure that Mason had a special Christmas too! He helped open Mason's gifts and made sure that Mason was happy.
We thank everyone who helped make our Christmas so special. We look forward to spending more memorable Christmas moments together!

Baby Sitting the Boys

Papa and Mason napping together. I think Mason is in charge of the conversation.
A gift from Uncle Zach.
Tyler enjoying pop corn and a movie.
Tonight Mommy and Daddy had a "Date Night", so Grandma and Papa babysat the 2 boys. Tyler had fun playing with play dough, taking pictures with my camera, and watching Iron Man. As usual, he acted out the movie. And what is a movie without Pop Corn?

As for Mason, he slept and slept and slept. Papa got so comfort while holding Mason, he fell asleep also.

We are both looking forward to many more Baby Sitting nights.

Our New Addition

Welcome Mason Joseph Hemmert!
Mommy & Daddy after Mason was born Proud Big Brother Tyler with Mason On December 21, 2010, we welcomed a new addition to our family, Mason Joseph. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 3/4 inches long. We are all so thrilled to have Mason with us! Tyler couldn't have been a more proud brother! Once Mason and I were in the recovery room, Tyler joined us. He couldn't stop taking his picture and touching/kissing him, it made me so proud! When the nurse came in to take Mason to have him weighed, Tyler was concerned where they were taking "his baby". He kept telling the nurse not to give Baby Mason a shot because he will cry. It was so sweet!

Our entire stay at the hospital, Tyler was protective of Mason. He always asked the nurses what they were going to do to his baby when they took him to the nursery. We had to walk to the nursery to make sure Mason was there! Tyler was also very helpful with Mason's feedings and anything else that Mason or Mommy needed! I hope that Tyler continues to be helpful and loving to Mason as they grow up together. I look forward to enjoying life as a family of four!
