Lake House - Thanksgiving 2010

A happy little family!
Tyler said there we no more seats!

They are very affectionate cousins!

Lisa and Michelle taking Tyler for a 4-wheeler ride
The first weekend in November we celebrated Thanksgiving at Uncle Scott and Aunt Kathy's lake house on Lake Gaston. We had a great time with our extended family, as always! Tyler enjoyed playing with his aunts & uncles, great aunts & uncles, second cousins, and especially his third cousin, Lily. These two were inseparable. Wherever you found one, the other was close behind!
Tyler was lucky that his mommy's cousins, Lisa & Michelle, were willing to take him on four-wheeler rides. Then his Great-Uncle Scott took him for a boat ride, it was a little chilly, but we still had a great time!
Tyler can't wait to see everyone again soon!

Action photos of Super Bowl!

Tyler playing defense...he's just waiting to pull a flag! Tyler running for a touchdown!
He's looking back, ready to give a "stiff arm"!
Almost there!!!
One of the parents from Tyler's team sent us a few "action" shots of Tyler during the Super Bowl. Tyler loves looking at these pictures and telling us about the two touchdowns he scored! He is really hustling to score the touchdowns. I can still picture Tyler's touchdown dances! Let's just hope he is not depending on dancing as his career!

Tyler also likes to look at the first picture where he is on defense. He tells me that he is getting ready to pull a flag. He then reminds me that he pulled five flags! (I don't remind him that one was of his own teammates!)

We will keep practicing Tyler's skills while he is off season, so that when he starts next year he will play like he did during his last game. We are so proud of all the hard work Tyler put into his first football experience!

Halloween

Halloween is a fun time at the Hemmert household! To start off the festivities, Tyler and Mommy went to Creepside, which is a Halloween festival in downtown Gahanna. The stores downtown and local vendors create booths where the kids trick-or-treat. Tyler had a great time playing games, getting candy, walking through haunted houses, and his favorite was sitting in the fire truck!
A few days before trick-or-treat, Daddy and Tyler carved two jack-o-lanterns. Tyler did not enjoy scooping out the inside, but he did like telling Daddy how to design the faces! Once the pumpkins were carved, Tyler couldn't wait to light the candles to creat jack-o-lanterns.
Tyler enjoyed trick-or-treating with Mommy and Grandma and Grandpa Kerr. (Daddy had to stay home to pass out candy.) He thought it was cool that the houses gave him candy. He also enjoyed looking at all the different costumes. Tyler was enjoying trick-or-treating until a house scared him. There was a guy dressed in a mask that kept talking and walking towards Tyler. He then said that he liked to eat little cowboys. Needless to say, Tyler took off running and told us that he had enough candy and was ready to go home. I tried to get him to go to a few more houses, but Tyler refused! I hope that Tyler forgets this next year!
