The Super Bowl

The Patriots are #1! The trophy!
The proud parents!
The proud grandparents!
As the saying goes, "all good things must come to an end". And flag football was a good thing for Tyler. He learned a sport he didn't know. He knows a few positions by name and what their jobs are. He learned to listen and follow directions from his coaches. He learned how to be a team player. He is a much better runner. He learned to be aggressive. He learned how to chew up his mouth piece very well. He learned the excitement of pulling a flag and scoring a touchdown. Mostly Tyler learned he loves football.

Tyler played Flag Football for 8 weeks. And every week he learned more and became more aggressive. Every week the weather was different. Some weeks were warm, some cold, and some rainy. But Tyler didn't care, he just want to play football.

The last game was called The Super Bowl. Tyler had a great time. He had a great game. He pulled 5 flags (only one was of his own team) and scored 2 touchdowns. Every time he pulled a flag or made a touchdown he would run up to his coach to him he gets another toy. (Yes Grandma bribed him!) After the game the coach came up to us and said, "someone owns Tyler alot of toys". We all laughed.

We were all very proud of all Tyler's accomplishments, and I think Tyler was just as proud of himself.

Visit from Uncle Dave and Aunt Linda

Uncle Dave and Aunt Linda in Time Out.

Playing Ants in the Pants.

Tyler loves having company, special when it's someone he loves! And he does love his Great Uncle Dave and Great Aunt Linda who lives in South Carolina.

Tyler had such fun playing with both of them. He specially enjoyed Uncle Dave who became his "best buddy". He wanted to do everything with Uncle Dave; from playing with him to sitting next to him at the table.

Tyler was quite the entertainer. He had Aunt Linda playing Monster Jam trucks. He had them both bowling in the kitchen. Tyler wasn't very good, but he got a good lesson from both of them. He taught them a new version of Uno and how to play Ants in the Pants, Lucky Duck and Don't Break the Ice. Tyler loves it when he wins!

It was such a pretty day that we all took a long walk, of course Tyler rode his Harley! Then we played football. Tyler told them his "rules" and which way to run. That was a fun time until Uncle Dave fell and almost got hurt. Aunt Linda was taking a movie of that play, but she got mostly sky. lol

The funniest thing was when Tyler put both of them in "Time Out". Tyler is very strict with his Time Outs. Sometimes he has good reasons, and sometimes not. Dave went for 'drumming' his fingers on the table! (not a good reason) But for some reason Tyler didn't like it! But Linda had to go to Time Out for not making a choice in her words. She said "stupid" which is a word Tyler doesn't allow at all! He placed them both in chairs in the living room and had them sit to think about what they had done. After awhile he told Aunt Linda to get up but Uncle Dave had to continue his punishment by reading a book to Tyler about Construction Trucks!

Tyler had such a wonderful time with them he is still waiting for them to come back over to play. Today he said he was going to draw a picture of Uncle Dave in school. Plus we are going to make cookies to give to Uncle Dave. Looks like they need to plan another trip to Ohio!

Dentist

It has been awhile since Tyler's last dentist visit, so we thought now was the perfect time to start our twice yearly visits! He was not at all happy with the thought of going to see the dentist. He would tell Grandma Kerr and I that he didn't need to go see the teeth doctor and that he wasn't sick. We talked about that the doctor would count his teeth and help brush them. This was not at all what he thought he needed to have done!

When we arrived at the dentist office, Tyler was not a happy camper. He cried and told us he was ready to leave. We told him he could sit on either Mommy or Grandma's lap. He didn't want to sit with either of us right away. Then, he decided that he would sit with Grandma, but not in the patient chair. So, Tyler sat with Grandma and laid back into the dentist's lap. He turned out to be such a big boy! Once he was in Grandma's lap, he didn't cry or scream!

We are happy to report that not only did he not cry and scream during the appointment, but he actually opened his mouth for the dentist to clean his teeth! And the best of all...no cavities!

Pumpkin Patch with Erik & Kevin

Tyler, Erik & Kevin helping stuff Scary the Scarecrow On the hayride
They loved the pile of pumpkins!
Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Denise, Tyler, Erik & Kevin all went to a pumpkin patch last weekend. The boys all had a blast! When we arrived, they immediately found the pumpkins and wanted to climb all over them! They then saw the hayride, and they coundn't wait to take a ride! They all enjoyed every minute of the ride! After the hayride, we were able to feed the animals and pick the perfect pumpkin. But, before we left, the boys helped me make a scarecrow. They were able to pick out the outfit, stuff the scarecrow with straw, and help make a face. Tyler and Erik helped name the scarecrow, Scary the Scarecrow. He now sits on our front porch with the pumpkins waiting for Halloween!
