Hemmert Fun-Filled Weekend

The boys playing with the water

This weekend Tyler had a blast with his cousins. Saturday, we helped Kevin celebrate his 2nd birthday. The boys all enjoyed playing with each other and running around. Kevin received lots of great presents and he was a trooper and let his cousins help him open his gifts.

Sunday, we all spent the day at CoCo Key indoor water park. Tyler, Erik and Logan loved going down the slides and splashing in the water toys. We were all surprised when Tyler went down the slides on his own. He even climbed the rope ramps by himself! He couldn't get enough of the slides, he wanted to go again and again and again! Tyler can't wait for his next visit to CoCo Key!

Papa's Birthday

Papa, Tyler and Daddy enjoying the OSU/Michigan cake. Tyler eating ice cream cake while Papa opens gifts.
Tyler loves birthday parties. But every time he hears of someone having a birthday he says , "Where did Tyler's birthday go"? We keep telling him it will be here soon.

We took Papa out for dinner for his birthday and Daddy got him a cake an ice cream cake. I do believe it will be the last one we let Daddy pick out for Papa. He got an Ohio State decorated cake BUT he had "Happy Birthday Papa" written in BLUE for Michigan! We all had a good laugh over that.

Tyler attended a friends birthday party today. He got to see a lot of his friends from his old PreSchool. He was happy to see everyone. He was especially happy to see his friends Maddy and James.

The kids enjoyed climbing on and in the jungle gym, and sliding down tubes. Everyone worked up a big appetite from playing so they enjoyed pizza and cupcakes. Tyler had a fun time chasing and climbing all over James father. He was a real trooper playing with the kids.

I know Tyler will be excited to see his friends again. It was a very fun day for him.

Happy Easter!

Uncle Mike and Tyler hunting for eggs

Tyler must have been a good boy, because the Easter bunny was too generous this year! Tyler received lots of fun goodies. Since he is on a "Soccer team" he got a new soccer ball and practice cones. Tyler can't wait to practice his soccer moves! He also got new cars and 2 new movies! What a lucky boy.

After we played with our new easter toys, we went to Uncle Mike and Aunt Sue's house for a yummy dinner. We then had an easter egg hunt. Tyler enjoyed hunting for the eggs and then hiding them. He even looked for the eggs that he hid! He thought Grandma was cheating when she tried to find the eggs that he hid! What a great way to finish off our Easter weekend!

Getting Ready for Easter

Playing "Baseball Team" with Uncle Zach
Tyler had a fun-filled Easter weekend! We were having a party on Saturday with our family and friends, so on Friday Tyler had a busy day helping. He had to help Grandma and Mommy with the cooking, a boys work never ends! Tyler loved helping us ice the cupcakes. Of course, his favorite part was licking the icing!
After his work was all done, Tyler was able to play. Uncle Zach bought Tyler a baseball bat and balls, so they played "Baseball Team". Tyler actually hit the ball a few times, but he enjoyed running the imaginary bases the best. We will keep practicing so maybe he will be able to teach Uncle Zach a few things about baseball when he comes back up to visit us!

Hemmert's Easter

Tyler & Grandma playing with Lincoln Logs
We celebrated Easter with the Hemmert's the weekend before Easter. Tyler had a great time with all of his cousins and 2nd cousins. All of the kids enjoyed playing at Uncle Mark's farm, while all the adults enjoyed each other's company. Tyler talked Daddy into taking the kids on a 4-wheeler wagon ride. It had just rained, so the kids came back muddy...luckily Tyler wore his old clothes and work boots! After the fun on 4-wheeler, they had an Easter egg hunt. Everyone found lots of eggs filled with candy!

After we left Uncle Mark's house, we spent the night with Grandpa & Grandma. Tyler and Erik had fun playing with each other. Grandma also showed Tyler how to build some nice houses and barns with Lincoln Logs. Maybe in a few years, Tyler will be able to build Grandma a nice house!
