The movies

Liked the "baby" drinking fountain.
Ready to watch the movie. Mommy and Tyler before the movie started.
Grandma took Tyler and Mommy to the movies. We saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks". It was Tyler's first real theatre experience. He loved it. As soon as we sat down and he saw the screen he said, "Big TV!" He sat still for the whole movie. He ate his pop corn, candy and Hi C while laughing at the little chipmunks.

During ALL the previews and commercials, every time Tyler saw the letter "T", he would say, "T for Tyler". The people in front of us were probably getting pretty tired of hearing him, but I thought it was cute.
On the way out of the theatre Tyler spots a row of 6 drinking fountains. They went from tall to short, and he thought it was real fun trying to drink out of each of them. But he liked the "baby" one the best.

Tyler enjoyed the movies and I am sure we will be going often since he was such a good boy.

Imagination

"Hi Ho Silver!!"
Taking time out from his baking to say "cheese"
Icing the cupcakes (look how serious he is!)
Cupcakes all ready.... in time for the party!
Getting it all!!

Tyler wanted to have a party. He wanted cupcakes, to play, and get 2 presents. So Grandma and Tyler baked. He was quite the little helpers . He actually mixed the batter, and enjoyed using the electric mixer. Said it tickled his hands. When it came to ice the cupcakes, he didn't like getting his hands messy. . . . . . so he did a lot of licking! hehe

Our party was small (Mommy, Daddy, Tyler and Grandma). But we had fun. He opened 2 imaginary gifts. He removed the pretend paper. . . .one he said was a blue bus and the other a baseball. lol

Tyler was in charge of entertainment! He entertained us! We played imaginary baseball (using his new ball!) and basketball. To see Tyler dribble a make believe basketball was a real HOOT! He dribbled with his whole body. Need to get that on video!

When he played pretend baseball, Mommy was the pitcher and Tyler was the batter. He would swing at one and say "I missed it" as he would fall down; then swing at another and say "I hit it" then of course run around the room. We were all entertained all evening.

To see his little imagination developing so much fun. I hate to admit it, but my little guy is growing up!

Monster Truck Jam

Tyler cheering for Grave Digger while enjoying yummy cotton candy! More cheering!

Daddy & Tyler at Monster Jam

Tyler's favorite monster truck, Grave Digger

Over the weekend, Grandpa and Grandma Kerr took us all to see Monster Jam. Tyler loves monster trucks, but this was his first time seeing them up close and personal so we weren't sure how he would react. He absolutely LOVED it! He was so excited to see the trucks jump over the cars and do wheelies, but he was let down when they didn't crash into each other! Tyler's favorite monster truck was Grave Digger, luckily he won all the different competitions. As you can see in the picture, he cheered hard for him!

After the monster trucks performed, it was time to watch the dirt bikes, ATV's, and crotch rockets. We all sat on the edge of our seats watching the dirt bikes flip through the air from the ramps. I thought Grandma was going to have a heart attack while watching the dirt bikes do double heart attacks from the ramp! Maybe it was just the thought of Tyler wanting to try the sport! Tyler was disappointed after they were finished, he wanted to watch "More bikes".

Tyler is looking forward to the next Monster Truck Jam!

Hemmert Christmas, 2009

Tyler & Uncle Todd playing dinosaurs together

Tyler enjoyed two wonderful Christmases this year! Christmas night, we spent the evening with Daddy's family. Tyler had a great time playing with his new toys and his cousins. The boys all did a great job of sharing their new toys. Tyler loved his new tractor and remote control 4-wheeler.
After we ate another delicious meal, opened presents, and played with the new toys it was time to get the kids to settle down. Erik, Tyler & Logan decided they wanted to watch a movie. Tyler had brought his new Fire Truck movie, so all the boys crowded around a portable DVD player instead of using a TV. It was so cute to watch them sit close and watching intently.

We had another wonderful Christmas! We love spending all this time with our families!

Holy cow, look at the size of the stocking Santa left! Tyler must have been a real good boy this year!

Tyler watching his new Thomas the Tank Engine train that Santa Ray gave him

Tyler had a great Christmas this year, especially since it was a white Christmas. This was our first Christmas that Tyler was understanding what was happening. He wanted to make sure that we left Santa lots of cookies and milk and even carrots for "the reindeer with the red nose." I didn't think he would ever go bed because he was so excited!

On Christmas Eve, Grandma Kerr's family came over to start the Christmas celebrations. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, family bonding, and entertainment. Tyler enjoyed listening to Uncle Mike play his guitar and sing Christmas songs. He will enjoy this tradition for years to come!

When he woke up, Santa left lots of new presents. His stocking was huge and filled with lots of goodies. Our friend from Florida, Ray, sent Tyler one of his favorite toys; an electric Thomas the Tank Engine train set. Tyler still gets so excited when he play with Thomas.

We spent many hours playing with all our new toys. Everyone was very generous with Tyler's wishes of farm machinery and construction equipment. I wonder what his dreams will be next year?! Tyler is very thankful for all his presents and hopes he is as good of a boy next year to get more great gifts.
