More Trains!

Tyler posing in front of the train sign

As you read in the last post, Tyler loves trains! I took Tyler to the mall the other evening, and he insisted on riding the train around the mall. (He likes to do this every trip we make to the mall.) He is Tyler standing next to the sign. He doesn't always pose for pictures, but he was showing off in front of a cute little girl. She rode in the car in front of us, and they kept grabbing each others hands through the window. Too cute! He is growing up way too fast!

Trains Trains Trains

There it goes!
WOW!! They are neat.
Papa Kerr knows Tyler loves trains and Papa has a friend, Ray, who also loves trains. Ray loves trains so much that he has turned his garage into a train station! Ray is building a three tiered train track for the HO scale trains. He has only been working on it for 8 months, and is no where close to completion, but he wanted Tyler to see it before we moved away from Jacksonville.
Needless to say, all we heard from Tyler was, "WOW!", "That's neat!", "Look over there!"..... need I go on! That little boy had a big smile on his face from the moment we walked into the train station -aka- garage!
What an evening event for Tyler! I am sure Tyler dreamed about trains all night!

Preparing for the Move

A boy on a mission

Working hard on the dirty floors

We have all been doing our OWN part for the preparation for the upcoming move back to Ohio. Daddy has been working in Columbus. Papa has been traveling back and forth to New York. Mommy has been working. Grandma has been packing boxes. Tucker has been barking. And Tyler has been trying to keep the house clean. He will look at the windows and say, "It's a mess". He will want the Windex and paper towels. And his new favorite cleaning item is now my ceramic floors. He loves to use the Swiffer on them. He will come to me and once again say, "It's a mess!" as he points to the floor! I am so thankful he is a neat little boy because I sure do need some help with my cleaning these days.

July 4, 2009 Weekend in Atlanta

Happy 4th of July!!

Stone Mountain

Tyler is showing Uncle Zach how to pick up girls as they wait for the train!

Tyler trying to name the fish with his chart

Over the 4th of July weekend, Grandma Kerr and I took Tyler to visit Uncle Zach. We had a fun-filled weekend planned by Uncle Zach. We started off at the Georgia Aquarium. Tyler loved looking at all the fish! He would run up the tanks, flap his arms in excitement, and scream "Fish, Fish!" We tried to get a video of his arms flapping, but we weren't successful! We were able to get a video of Tyler showing us different fish using his fish chart! (If only it was turned the correct way!)

We then went to Stone Mountain. Tyler's favorite part of Stone Mountain was riding the 30 minute train around the mountain. After Stone Mountain, it was time to let off the fire works that Uncle Zach bought for us. To all of our amazement, Tyler was not afraid. This was his first experience with fire works! He loved all the colors that were in the sky. After the big fireworks, we lit sparklers. Tyler was brave enough to hold one, but only for a minute. A spark accidentally got him in the chest. He tells us, "Fire hurtid me." Hopefully next year this will be a forgotten memory!

SeaWorld in Orlando, FL

Tyler watching his movies!

Shamu

Tyler excited to see Dory, but wondered where was Nemo?

Video of Tyler having fun in the water!

This past weekend, Grandma Kerr took Mommy and Tyler to SeaWorld. We had such a great time.... starting out with the road trip to Orlando. Tyler loves to watch his movies on the portable DVD player.

Then the fun began at SeaWorld! Tyler enjoyed watching Shamu, fish, penguins, ducks and his favorite, the dolphins. He liked watching the dolphins swim right next to him and jump up in the water to show off. Tyler would laugh at them. He really liked watching the mommy dolphin and her 8 day old baby in the water.

To wrap up the day at the park we had to cool off at the baby water park. Tyler just ran around and jumped with all the water! The video is a perfect example of how he acted. It was very very HOT both days we were there, so the water felt good to him.

We will all miss living in Jacksonville and being so close to all the theme parks that Florida has to offer.
