Wii Bowling

Over the weekend, MeMa Kerr brought her Wii over to our house. We thought that Tyler was asleep, so we began to bowl. It turns out that Tyler wasn't asleep, and he wanted to join in the fun. He would "pretend" to bowl as each of us took our turn. He was very excited when he hit pins down. Tyler would run around yelling and high five us all. It was too cute. We had to stop our bowling fun because Tyler refused to wear the wrist strap and daddy was afraid he would ruin his television. Take a look at the video to see all the fun Tyler had!

Kodak Moment

Say "cheese"!

Got it.

Tyler said, "Lizard walking up tree".

Tyler said, "All done".

On Friday night we were taking pictures of Tyler and he wanted to take pictures also. So Angie gave him an old camera to play with. He went around taking pictures of everything. He demanded you to say 'cheese' before he could snap the photo. He took pictures of Daddy, Mommy, MeMa, Tucker, and his favorite thing was the rain. Lots of pictures of dark night and rain!
Saturday he was going to a birthday party and took his camera. Before leaving for the party I took these pictures of Tyler taking pictures of a lizard. Tyler loves watching and shooing away the lizards. He is all boy!

Tools

Figuring out how to work the tie down straps

Tyler saying, "Pull."

Tyler saying, "What's this?"

So many tools

Tyler has something in common with Papa. They both love to play with tools. Today Papa decided to sort and organize his tool box. Tyler was a big helper! He had never seen the tie down straps that Papa uses to tie down his Harley or the HumVee. Tyler figured out he could hook them to tool box handles and pull! What fun he had.
Once Papa had his tools lined up on a table in the garage, Tyler was excited. He would tell Papa, "There's one! There's a screwdriver!" Tyler enjoyed taking a screwdriver, then finding a hole and turning the tool. He thought he was really fixing things. Gotta love a boy and his tools!!

Fruck in the Sand

Proud of his sand load

Heavy load

Checking out the tire situation

It was a sunny but cool day, but Tyler enjoys the sand so much he didn't seem to mind the cool air. As for Daddy, he kept a beach towel wrapped around his shoulders. Tyler kept MeMa busy using his shovel to keep his fruck filled with sand. He had a great time pushing his filled fruck around the beach then turning it over to say "It wrecked! What happened?" Tyler also spent alot of time chasing the birds up & down the beach. That was good exercise for him; perhaps next time Daddy and MeMa will run with him. LOL
Just for the record..... Daddy picked out Tyler's outfit today!

Early Birthday Present

Tyler concentrating

Look at Tyler's nose!

Tyler showing Daddy Percy the train

Tyler opening a pres aka present

Daddy went to Ohio this past week and when he came home, he had a surprise for Tyler from MeMa and Papa Hemmert! Since they won't be able to join us his birthday, they sent the presents with daddy. Tyler was so excited to see his 'pres' or presents! Tyler enjoyed showing daddy all the different trains, but his favorite is Percy. He then had fun coloring in his new activity book. The markers that came with the activity book are different from the ones he had, so he had to smell them first to make sure they were okay! As you can see in the picture, he got them a little too close to his nose! Once he noticed the marker on his nose and hands, he had to have it washed off because he was 'messy'. He is one neat little boy!

Fun at the Park

Tyler excited after showing MeMa how to hit the ball!

MeMa showing Tyler how to play tether ball

Playing with the sand!

MeMa and I took Tyler to a new park in Jacksonville. He enjoyed playing in the clubhouses, slides, and jungle gym cars. But his favorite was playing tether ball. MeMa showed him how to play and Tyler actually let her try to help him, which is unusual because he always wants to do it by himself! After Tyler was finished playing, MeMa and I tried to play each other. Tyler accidently walked into the line of the ball, and got whacked in the head. He didn't cry, he only said "I sorry MeMa." I think he thought it was his fault!

Snowman

Daddy has gone to Ohio for the week, so MeMa gets to have fun this week with Tyler. To start the week off it is a beautiful day in the low 80's. MeMa ask Tyler what he would like to do and he replied, "go beach". So we collected our bucket and shovels and off we went.
Tyler spent a couple hours building a snowman. He filled his bucket with sand then dumped it into one pile. He was quite excited over his "snowman". He kept saying "snowman hat", so I explained to him I didn't bring a hat but we could use his Nike hat that he was wearing. Tyler grabbed ahold of his head and said, "No MeMa! Tyler's hat". So we later walked up and down the beach to see if we could find a lost hat, but since we had no luck, Tyler just jumped on the snowman to squash him. He had a good time and will nap good this afternoon.

St. Augustine Fort

Tyler Playing Peek-a-boo in the Fort Tower

Tyler and Daddy at the Fort

Tyler and Daddy on the Boat

Daddy and Mommy decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today by taking Tyler to St. Augustine. We took the top of the Jeep, and Tyler thought he was one cool dude riding around in the Jeep. Our first stop was to the lighthouse. Tyler and Mommy waited outside while daddy ran all the way to the top of the lighthouse. Tyler enjoyed talking to the workers and playing in the dirt!

We found a fort that we haven't been to before that you have to take a boat to get to. Tyler was so excited to be riding in a boat, it was his first boat ride! He sat on Daddy's lap and kept telling everyone he was on a boat, everyone around us laughed the entire ride! Once at the fort, Tyler liked to look over at the water and other boats. He was afraid we would fall off, so he held onto us for protection! Tyler now can't wait for another boat ride!

Cookies

Tyler saying "a mess" while stirring batter

Checking out the smell of the cookie batter

A little more stirring needed

Loved the taste of the batter.

MeMa and Papa are going to visit Zach this weekend in Atlanta. So Tyler and MeMa spent today doing some baking. Tyler loves to help cook. He first wants to "sit" on the counter to apart of all the steps. Which is really hard when you are trying to measure things out and keep him from falling. He loves to ask "what's this" with every item I place in the bowl. He was great at mixing everything together. But what he didn't like was when the flour got on him, his clothes, or the counter top. He would brush it away saying "a mess". Tyler does like to be neat like his Uncle Zach.
Not sure how many cookies will get baked since Tyler really enjoyed eating the dough from the bowl. Sorry Uncle Zach!

Tavie & Lynette's Visit

Tyler proud of his new haircut

Tyler getting his haircut for Tavie

Cousins, Tavie and Lynnette, stopped by to spend the night with MeMa on their way down to Daytona Beach Bike Week. Tyler's hair was looking pretty shabby, so Daddy and MeMa took him to get his haircut. Tyler still doesn't like haircuts. He cried, but felt braver sitting in his daddy's lap. Once the clippers were put away, and he got a balloon and sucker, and was all smiles.

One thing Tavie wanted to do while in Jacksonville was to see Tyler. They brought him Hot Wheels Motorcycles that shoot off from a ramp. Tyler really enjoyed Tavie teaching him how to wind it up and shoot them off.
We all enjoyed their visit.
