Our Friend's Birthday Party

Over the weekend, we drove to Orlando to help Eleina celebrate her 2nd birthday. Tyler had a great time lining the pool table balls up, playing pin the nose on Mickey Mouse, and he even shared his trains with the birthday girl! But his highlight was eating cake! He didn't realize there was cake there until we sang 'Happy Birthday' to Eleina. But as soon as he saw it he yelled "CAKE" until he finally got his piece to eat. Tyler is looking forward to everyone's birthday now so he can enjoy a good piece of cake!

Sharkey's Cuts for Kids

Today we thought we would try a different method of cutting Tyler's hair. We took him to a place that specializes in children haircuts. It was such a cute place. Tyler had his choice of chairs (an airplane, a Harley, or a Barbie jeep). Since Tyler is completely in control of his manhood, he chose the purple Barbie jeep. Mommy tried to talk him into the airplane, but he replied, "no airplane"! He refused to wear the Superman cape around his neck, and no makes him do anything he doesn't want! So needless to say he got hair all over him. Tyler did cry, scream, and want the girl to stop, but he was actually calmer than he is when MeMa cuts his hair. So we will go back there again. They gave him a balloon after it was all over, and he was so happy. He does look like a cute little man now.

Shrine Circus

The Shrine Circus came to town this weekend, so Papa took us ALL. Tyler wasn't quite sure what was happening. He did not like seeing the clowns before the show started, he did not want a light up toy, nor did he want to ride on the ponies! But he did enjoy watching the 3 ring circus and playing with the little girls hair who sat in front of him. I do believe his favorite act would be the cats doing their tricks. He kept meowing and meowing. But just like everyone else, the food was the highlight for Tyler. He loved the pop corn, the funnel cake, and the cotton candy. As you can see in the picture, he did not like getting his hands sticky from the cotton candy.

Bubble Mower

If only this was a real lawn mower! Tyler has walked many miles around our front yard trying to cut the grass and all he seems to accomplish is filling the air with lots and lots of bubbles! He loves running around and making all the bubbles. The faster he goes the more bubbles he gets.

Labor Day Weekend Visitors

Over Labor Day weekend, our friends Dan and Gina came down to visit us. They also have a son, Bryce, who is almost 2 years old. Tyler and Bryce had a great time together. Tyler had a lot of firsts with Bryce. He learned how to play 'Ring Around the Rosy' and loved it! He especially loved to fall down. They also wrote all over the bathrooom with crayons, luckily they were washable! As you can see in the picture, when we went in the bathroom to see what they were doing, they knew they were caught! Tyler and Bryce also enjoyed chasing each other around the house. They would both get so excited and squeal with joy! At one time, Tyler was steam-rolling Bryce over! They would get up and start the chase all over again.
Amongst all the fun had at the house, we also took them to the beach. This was the first time Bryce had been to the beach. He had a great time playing in the sand and the waves. Tyler did great showing him the way around the beach! We also went to St. Augustine to sight see. I loved the picture of Brent and Tyler walking holding hands at the fort. So cute!
We can't wait to spend more time and watch the fun that Tyler and Bryce have together!

Riding to MeMa's and Papa's

Just about every morning that I take Tyler to MeMa's and Papa's house, he insists on bringing a few cars and his stuffed animals. This morning was no exception. He wanted his "Moo", "Grr" and "Dog" along with his blanket and two cars. As you can, the cow is about as big as he is. I tried to point out the school buses and frucks as we passed them, but Tyler kept telling me "No" because he couldn't see them around his prized possessions!

Tree Removal

The guys all worked up a sweat at MeMa's house this evening. Thanks to the strong winds from Tropical Storm Faye, we had a tree blow over in our backyard. Papa chopped up the tree by himself, but he needed help with the stump removal. Tyler did a great job using his shovel. He did alot of grunting and groaning which must have helped him do his digging. After he dug up some dirt, had it on his shovel, walked it to the bucket, he didn't have much dirt to dump. And of course, he didn't want to move a bucket closer to him. His little chubby cheeks were so red. As you can tell from the picture, Tyler carried the load for his Daddy and Papa. Thank you Hemmert Men for helping Papa.
