Endicott Visit - St. Augustine

We took a tour of the fort in St. Augustine where Tyler tried to show off his muscles by lifting cannon balls that were welted together. He did a lot of gunting and pulling, but still couldn't separate them. We also toured the Alligator Farm. I think everyone was amazed at the huge variety of gators that they saw. When Tyler got tired of walking, Uncle Mike would carry him(and the sippy cup) on his shoulders. Tyler loved that special treat!

Endicott Visit - Playing

Tyler was FINALLY able to win something from his favorite money pit "grabber machine" at a local restaurant with the big help from Sarah. And it happened to be a cow, so his mommy was happy. We went to a park in St. Augustine and he enjoyed swings, sliding and playing with cousins.
Uncle Mike attempted to taught him the game of catch; while Jessie taught him to wear the glove on his head instead of a ball hat. They had fun.

Endicott Visit - The Beach

Fun in the sun is what happened at Jax Beach. Tyler absolutely loved it when Sarah and Jessie took him into the water. The sun was hot but the water was cold; but they didn't seem to mind. Tyler didn't even mind when he got smacked in the face with a big wave!
He also enjoyed playing in the sand with Aunt Sue. The girls dug him a big hole to play inside. He was able to run his cars around the outside of the big hole, so he was happy. That was until these seagulls noticed Tyler has french fries in his stroller. This picture is of them hovering over our heads in want of the food! They were so close to our heads you could hear their wings flapping.

Easter at Papa's House

The Easter Bunny came to Jacksonville twice this year for Tyler. He is now 22 months old and after 2 Easter egg hunts (one at his house and one at Papa's house) he started getting into hunting for the eggs. I gave him a cute "Cars" Easter basket to collect his eggs with, but he said "No MeMa". He wanted to use his little red wagon. Uncle Mike E., Aunt Sue, Sarah and Jessica also helped him find his eggs. Inside the eggs he found MatchBox cars, which excited him! Of course now he is still bringing the empty plastic eggs to me to open for him in hopes of finding more cars. He is really into his cars!

"Cars"

If there is one thing Tyler loves right now, it is the movie "Cars". As soon as he walks into Grandma's house he is asking me to put on the movie. He sits at his little table and watches it from start to finish without moving. It is really cute to watch his little face go from a frown to a smile while watching the movie. I am not sure yet which Car is his favorite. Wonder how long it will be a great babysitter?

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Tyler attended a St. Patrick's Day Parade at Fernandina Beach (Amelia Island), Florida. It was a beautiful warm sunny day to be out watching a parade. Papa Kerr was in the parade with his Shrine Club. He was driving his new HumVee. As for Tyler, he wanted nothing to do with the HumVee! He doesn't want to sit in it, or stand close to it. He is afraid of it .....wonder how long that will last! Grandma Kerr

Durham Visitors

Last week we had company from Durham. Papa's cousins stopped to visit on their way down to Daytona Beach Bike Week. Tyler loves to see and sit on Papa's Harley. And he was even more excited to see 2 Harley's inside of Larry's trailer. Tyler thought he was "one of the guys" .... they had on Harley shirts, but he had on his Harley Hat!

Tavie and Lynnette was very thoughtful to bring Tyler a t-shirt from his home state of North Carolina. This may be his team since it's going to hard for him to root for Ohio State or Michigan! Thank you again Tavie and Lynnette for thinking of Tyler.

A BAD Day

Today was not a good day for Tyler. First, Mommy and Grandma took him to visit the Easter Bunny. He didn't want the Easter Bunny to look at him, wave at him, or shake a big plastic carrot at him; let alone sit on his lap for a special Kodak moment. So NO pictures of Tyler and the Easter Bunny at the age of 22 months! They did tell us Tyler has a great set of lungs. I am sure everyone could hear him screaming throughout the whole mall.
After that he was more than willing to take a good nap. But once he woke up, the rest of his bad day continued. He was running in the street to meet his daddy after work; and you guessed it! Tyler fell and got his first Bo-Bo on his knee. You would have thought the world was coming to an end. He cried and screamed and wouldn't let Mommy put him down for almost an hour! Not sure if his knee was really hurting -OR- he just didn't like the band-aid on his little knee. Every time he would look down at his knee, he would start his crying and screaming all over again. Perhaps some FUN band-aids would help! Grandma will have to go shopping.

Breakfast

When a little boy, at the age of 22 months, wants to sit at his own table but doesn't have one ---- Papa takes him shopping. Tyler has been trying to make his own table by pulling up his little rocking chair to either the otterman or the coffee table. He enjoys eating is breakfast and lunch there. Of course he has a little trouble keeping the rocking chair still. Tyler was so excited when Papa got him this table and chair set. This morning he got to watch Curious George while eating his breakfast sitting at his own table! He was very happy.

Our Visit from the Hemmert's

This weekend Steve, Todd and Adam came to Florida for a visit. It was the best weekend for them to pick so they wouldn't have to shovel the snow! (It is reported to have snowed 20 inches at Port Columbus!) Since Steve and Todd like to keep busy, they helped Brent stain our fence and helped remodel the garage. Then we enjoyed fun at the beach and the Alligator Farm. Although, we were not able to spend much time at the beach because it was very windy and Tyler did not like that at all. He was cold, guess he is a true Floridian! Adam was able to find lots of shells to take home, and he was even able to fly a kite! Adam was a wonderful big cousin to Tyler. He enjoyed playing with Tyler and sharing with him. Adam even liked playing in the dog cage with Tyler. (This seems to be a favorite past time with everyone!) We can't wait for the next visitors!

Landscaping

Brent and I had our landscaping done last week. It now makes our house complete. When we purchased the house there were no trees or landscape around the house. So, we decided to make it beautiful. We had palm trees planted, as well as the landscape. What is a Florida home without palm trees? We are both thrilled about the final results. I know that these pictures are far away to see everything clear, but we wanted to show you the palm trees. When you come to visit, you will be able to see it close up!
