Pure Exhaustion

Whew...what a day! I guess mommy missed out on all the fun the boys had today, because she was the only one still awake at 7:00 p.m.
Tyler refused to take a nap today for Papa, and as a result he was very cranky. So, we put in the movie "Cars", which is his favorite. It was not even 15 minutes into the movie I see his head bobbing up and down. I try to get Brent's attention and he is fast asleep too! But don't they look cute asleep? Mommy did enjoy the quiet time!

Pro

Since I have never seen a "Young Golf PRO", I would imagine this is what one would look like. After all, he has a good stance, a cute smile and a matching outfit. What more is there to being a Pro?

Shopping

A picture is worth a thousand words. Does he or doesn't he look bored shopping at BJ's? Even a neat car to ride in doesn't always seem to matter.

Water Fun in February

After a good rain there is always a good puddle to play in. And if there is a puddle, Tyler wants in it. His only problem was trying to decide what to do in it. He did try everything he could think of. He started off running through it and found that was so much fun, that perhaps riding his bike in it would be fun also. From there he swept it, he mopped it; and that gives me great ideas for him inside the house! He used his shovel and bucket but that wasn't much fun. Once he remembered his golf clubs ..... he was ready for about an hour of play! Tyler would laugh so hard when he swung at the ball, miss the ball but hit the water and it would splash on him. What fun! Needless to say we had to change clothes after he was finished.

Rocking Horse

No matter how old a toy is, it is still a fun toy. This wooden Rocking Horse was made for Uncle Zach by my dad, Papa Endicott. Uncle Zach was 2 years old when he received this horse for Christmas. I remember how excited he was to have his own horse. He loved to sit and rock.

Tyler is now about the same age and he loves to sit and rock on it also. He doesn't call it a "horse" yet, he calls it a "neigh". While rocking Tyler will sing his version of "Row Row Row Your Boat", which consist of only the words of "row row row row row row.........."

Enjoying a Sunday Afternoon

It is hard to believe that it was in the 80's in mid February. So, we couldn't resist spending the day outside together. Tyler and mommy first went to the store to buy sand toys. We think daddy had more fun with the tractor, but both Tyler and Tucker had to watch the right way to dump sand! We are trying to teach Tyler that the sand stays in the sandbox and you don't throw it. We are no fun!
Tyler also enjoyed chasing Tucker around the yard with his lawn "moo-er". (It moos when you push it.) Tyler giggles as Tucker tries to eat the head. Then Tyler goes right for Tucker's feet and it makes Tucker jump pretty high off the ground. They spend many hours doing this, who knew how much fun that would be?!
When the boys were tired of playing, they would take a rest in the hammock. Tyler just loves to be around his daddy. He also tries to be just like him. Before we leave the house, he has to have on his hat, just like daddy. It is Brent's mini-me!

Being Silly!

The other night I was sitting on the floor taking pictures of Tyler. I didn't think he knew what I was doing, until he got this big grin on his face as he put his face in the camera. He did this numerous times until I finally took his picture close up! You can see his little dimples..they are so cute!
Tyler's personality is really starting to shine through. He laughs all the time, and it is contagious! And as you can tell, he loves to have a good time. He also loves to be outside and to play with his cars and balls. He is all boy!

Man's Best Friend

We have said this many times, but Tyler and Tucker are best friends. Where you find one, you always find the other! They are normally finding trouble together. Every night Tyler enjoys his playtime with Tucker. When Tucker finally becomes too tired to play, Tyler just sits on him. He wants to ride him like a pony. Tucker looks at his mommy and daddy for help, but we know he just loves the attention!

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day, Grandma and Papa Kerr gave Tyler balloons and a stuffed monkey. These are two of Tyler's favorite things. He calls his monkey "E-E".

As you can see, Tyler was attached to the balloons and stuffed monkey all night. He either played with the balloon, trying to reach it if he accidentally let go of the string. Or everything sat with us as we watched Curious George before bed. I had a heard time seeing the television between the balloons!
We hope that everyone enjoyed their Valentine's as much as Tyler did!

Tyler & Caitlyn

Tyler and Caitlyn enjoyed playing with each other while we were in Ohio over Christmas, yes I am behind! Tyler still does not have the concept of how to play with someone, but he did pretty good. He only cried a few times when he wanted the toy that Caitlyn had! Although, he didn't give her a choice about sharing her food. As you can see, he helped himself with her goldfish crackers! Caitlyn is looking in the container of where they 'used' to be!
Brent and I look forward to our next visit to Ohio. Maybe then Tyler will be able to share his toys nicely!

Bonding with Papa

It's February and Tyler and Papa are having fun in the sun. Papa takes Tyler on a walk to the park in our community almost every day. Tyler loves riding in his little red car still. He loves to swing and slide and throw the mulch in the park! Papa is very patient with him.

Papa has introduced Tyler to the game of golf. They went to Toys R Us and got Tyler his own set of clubs. Papa was hoping he'd be the next Tiger Woods. So far Tyler would rather pick up the ball and throw it with his hand. It does go farther than when he uses the clubs.

Phone Calls

If there is one thing Tyler enjoys is talking on the cell phone. When the phone rings he says to me "who's that?" then runs to get it first. If he doesn't know the 'ring' he hands it over to me. BUT if it sounds like a 'doorbell' he knows that is his mommy and wants to answer it. He will either sit in his rocking chair or walk around the house talking. Guess he has seen us all do that! He just jabbers away and laughs. I think he is telling Mommy all the fun things him and Grandma did all day!

Napping

Everyone has nighty night rituals, even little Tyler. When it's nap time at Grandma's house, Tyler starts taking inventory of his sleeping buddies. He isn't happy until he has his pacifer, blanket and his animals. He makes sure he has his chicken (of course), pig, lion, dog, jaguar, Cookie Monster and Curious George. A few trucks thrown in the bed is always good too. At times it looks like there is no room for Tyler.
The fun begins when he wakes up from his nighty night. He will try and pick up all the animals at once. His little Hemmert temper comes out when he realizes his arms are just not long enough to hold all of them.
