Hiding from Grandma

Tyler loves to play. He doesn't know the game of "Hide and Seek" yet; but he does know how to hide. Whenever I cannot find him, I know where to look! He loves to hide under my bathroom sink (and close the doors). Not sure which he wants to do .... play with my make-up or learn how to become a plumber. He uses my make-up to 'work' on the bottom of the sink! I have the mascara marks to prove it! He is such a cutie!

Story Time

Tyler is 20 months old and isn't still for one minute unless he is asleep or having story time. He loves to be read to. He particularly likes to read the same book over and over again.

Papa Kerr had surgery to his eye lids and this is how he looked when he was icing the swelling. Tyler didn't like the ice bags on his Papa. He would just stand and look at him strangely. But he does enjoy Papa reading to him.

Cartoons in the Morning

Tyler and I have something in common; we both enjoyed rocking in this old rocking chair. My grandfather, who we called "Pappy" made me this rocking chair when I was a little girl. I have saved it and moved it from house to house in hopes that one day I would have a Grandchild who would enjoy sitting in as I did. Tyler sits in it and watches his shows everyday. His favorites are "Curious George" and "Barney".

This old rocking chair has a lot of miles on it. I hope more little children get a chance to rock in it someday.

Christmas in Jacksonville

What a lucky little boy Tyler is; Christmas in Ohio, then in Florida. Tyler got so many nice toys to play with. But all he really cared about was the first car he opened up or as he would say "Vroom Vroom". He drives everything as a car, from his stacking blocks to Papa's stapler!

We all had a wonderful visit with Uncle Zach over the holidays. Papa enjoyed 3 games of golf with him, and Grandma enjoyed playing backgammon with him. Uncle Zach taught Tyler how to play catch in the backyard while Mommy, Daddy and Papa put together his new toys. He said Tyler did pretty good for his first time.

Uncle Zach took us all to the Jacksonville Zoo one day. It was a beautiful day (we all wore shorts). Tyler still likes the tigers and jaguars. Zach seemed to like the monkeys and the feeding of the elephants the best. It was a fun family day!

We are looking forward to Christmas 2008 with Tyler.

Christmas in Ohio

We celebrated Christmas in Ohio this year with Brent's family. Tyler enjoyed spending time with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tyler has three cousins, two of them are his age. It is so cute to see them together. Although, Tyler does not share to well with the others. So this is our New Years resolution! Hopefully next Christmas he will share better with his cousins!

This year Tyler did not care about opening presents. He enjoyed playing with the cars he received, or as Tyler calls them "Vroom-Vrooms". He also loved the stuffed animal Aunt Lisa made him, names Harley. One evening Uncle Todd gave the boys a horse ride. Tyler loves to "Nay" like a horse! The boys all loved the ride! He can't wait to see everyone again soon!
