Going To The Park

We took Tyler to his first visit at the park. He loved every minute of it! Mommy bought Tyler a new car, and he enjoyed "driving" it there. Tyler kept one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the gear shift. The entire time he had a huge grin on his face, he thought he was really driving!

Tyler's favorite thing to do at the park was swing. He giggled and tried to say "Whee"! Tyler was not too fond of the slide. I guess there wasn't much of a thrill on the slide as there was with the wind in his face on the swings. He looks forward to many more days swinging in the park!

Tyler & Friend

Tyler enjoyed spending the evening with his friend Alie, who is almost two years old. They loved playing ball and sharing beads together. Alie even showed Tyler how to rock on her rocking horse! There were a few moments when Alie was not happy sharing her toys or her mommy. She did not like it when Tyler wanted to sit with her mommy. She was very jealous! Tyler can't wait for his next play date!

Another 1st

Today was another first at Grandma's. One of Tyler's favorite things to do is hit the glass corners on my coffee table with whatever he has in his hands. He usually does it from his knees, but today he pulled himself up to his feet. He was just squeaking with laughter. I ran to get the camera. Love those Kodak moments!
Now that he knows he can pull up to his feet, it won't be long before he tries walking!

Eating at 11 months old

Tyler thinks now that he is 11 months old he is a big boy. He no longer takes a bottle! He likes using his sippy cup. Of course his mommy purchased MANY before finding one that he would hold. He prefers the ones with straws.

Feeding him meals now is somewhat of a challenge. I know you are thinking at his size he should eat anything. But he is a picky eater. Tyler no longer wants to eat any baby food. Tyler no longer wants to eat anything we have to spoon feed him. He thinks he is a big boy and wants to feed himself. The real problem with this is ...... Tyler has a little of Uncle Zach in him. He doesn't like getting his hands messy! When I put food on his tray he will touch it with one finger to see if it feels wet; if not, great, he will pick it up and eat it. If it's wet he will have nothing to go with it. So when I cook green beans, pasta, etc, I have to blot them with paper towels before placing on his tray. Once we cook "his way" he is a great eater.

Trip to Uncle Zach's

Tyler had his first road trip to Uncle Zach's in Atlanta. He did great in the car, he loves to look out the window.

Uncle Zach remembered how much fun he had as a little boy at Nana Endicott's house playing in her cupboard with the pots and pans. He introduced the fun to Tyler. Tyler enjoyed banging the pots and pans together, he even woke up his daddy with his squeals of joy.

Tyler is following in Uncle Zach's footsteps with the love of sports. They enjoyed rolling the ball back and forth together. We all had fun visiting the Harley Davidson Dealership. Tyler received his first balloon. You would have thought they gave him a free Harley!

We look forward to seeing what our next adventure with Uncle Zach will be.

1st Easter

Tyler celebrated his 1st Easter in Jacksonville, Florida. Grandma got him his ears, I thought he looked cute, but his daddy wouldn't let him wear them. He thought he looked silly in them, but Tyler didn't seem to mine.

Tyler did really well on his weeks stay in Jacksonville. We looked at many homes for both the Hemmert's and the Kerr's. Tyler did great coming in and out of that car seat and going in and out of homes. You couldn't have asked for him to be any better.

Angie and Brent found a home they liked. It is a beautiful big home. If they do purchase it, Tyler will have a great bedroom and his daddy told him he could have his own ceiling fan in his bedroom. And if you know Tyler, you know he will love that!
